During his high-profile address at the Democratic National Convention, Rep. Jim Clyburn (D-SC) blasted Project 2025, a conservative policy blueprint that anticipates the next Republican White House, as comparable to the era of segregation.
“While Trump falsely pleads ignorance of Project 2025, which in my opinion, is Jim Crow 2.0, Kamala has been offering the American people enlightened proposals and visionary leadership,” the South Carolina Democrat told cheering crowds. Clyburn is the first African American to represent South Carolina in Congress since 1893 and is a former House majority whip.
Spearheaded by the Republican-affiliated Heritage Foundation, former President Donald Trump has repeatedly disavowed Project 2025, which has been derided by the Left as extremist. The conservative road map endorses policies such as cutting back on illegal immigration and reducing the size of regulatory bureaucracies.
