Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY) handily won the Democratic primary in New York‘s 10th Congressional District on Tuesday.
The Associated Press called the race at 9:05 p.m. Eastern, just five minutes after polls closed. As of 9:10 p.m., Goldman won with 71.9% of the vote with 26% of votes counted.
Goldman defeated challengers Evan Hutchinson and Bruno Grandsard, who both pulled in less than 10,000 votes as of 9:10 p.m. The congressman will go on to face Republican Alexander Dodenhoff, who ran uncontested, in November.
