Delegates at the Democratic National Convention are wearing suffragette white as they prepare for Vice President Kamala Harris, the first black woman to lead a major party’s presidential ticket, to accept the nomination on the final day of festivities.

The outfit choice is also a nod to when Harris wore white during her victory speech in 2020, when she became the first female vice president-elect in history. Harris is set to formally accept the party’s presidential nomination in a speech on Thursday night that concludes the four-day convention.
