
Harris said that she would work across the aisle to pass immigration reform, including the bipartisan border security bill that was killed in the Senate earlier this year, during her closing argument Tuesday night.
Saying that “politicians have got to stop treating immigration as an issue to scare up votes in an election,” Harris also said the U.S. must “acknowledge we are a nation of immigrants.”
“I will work with Congress to pass immigration reform, including an earned path to citizenship for hard-working immigrants like farm workers and Arab dreamers,” Harris said.
Harris also knocked Trump over reports he called service members injured or captured in warzones “suckers and losers.”
