Harris pressed Israel to allow more aid to the Gaza Strip after the United Nations warned of a “rapid deterioration” of the humanitarian situation.
“The UN reports that no food has entered northern Gaza in nearly 2 weeks. Israel must urgently do more to facilitate the flow of aid to those in need,” she posted on X. “Civilians must be protected and must have access to food, water, and medicine. International humanitarian law must be respected.”
The war in Gaza surpassed the one-year mark last week. Casualty counts are controversial, but deaths are estimated in the tens of thousands.
