Harris urged voters at a rally in Arizona to see the difference between her message and Trump‘s, saying he “insults Latinos” and “scapegoats immigrants.”

“My opponent is also making his closing argument to America and you’ve probably seen a bit of it. It is an argument that is full of hate and division,” Harris said, speaking to voters at Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre.

“He insults Latinos, scapegoats immigrants, and it’s not just what he says; it’s what he will do if elected,” she added, seeking to win over the key voting bloc.

Harris is attempting to step up her outreach to Latino voters, as polling has shown Trump chipping away at Democrats’ historic advantage with this voting bloc. Arizona has the largest Latino population of the major battleground states, with Hispanic voters accounting for roughly a quarter of the electorate, doubling since 2000, according to the Latino Policy and Politics Institute.

Ahead of Harris’s speech, she was joined by Mexican band Los Tigres del Norte. She was also joined by the Senate hopeful, Gallego, who has been leaning hard on Latino voters in his campaign and has been crisscrossing the state for the last 22 months.

An average of polling in the Grand Canyon State finds Trump leading the vice president by 2.4 percentage points.
