House Democrats emerged from their caucus meeting divided on the fate of President Joe Biden’s candidacy, with some arguing the conference is “not even in the same book” while others said about 90% of members were in agreement.

Some members described the feeling inside the room as a “sadness” or “like a funeral,” according to Punchbowl. A Democratic member told CNN the sadness stemmed from “talking about someone you love who is in obvious decline.”

Others are hoping the conversations are coming to an end, as it will hinder Biden ahead of the election.
