Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov arrived in New York City for the United Nations General Assembly on the same day Zelensky is scheduled to address members.
Lavrov will have many meetings and could hold a press conference later in the day. He’s expected to meet with Secretary of State Marco Rubio. The two have spoken many times in the last eight months, most recently ahead of the Alaska summit, during which Putin and Trump met.
