Washington’s Metro has announced that the limited edition 2025 Inaugural SmarTrip card is sold out at all stations.

The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority announced the release of the cards a week ago and has been selling them at select stations ahead of Inauguration Day. On Monday, they were available at Metro Center, near Capital One Arena, where Trump will hold an event after being inaugurated in lieu of the parade that was canceled because of the weather.

Some stations will be closed for security reasons, which will affect access to stations near the Capitol and the arena. Closed stations include Archives-Navy Memorial-Penn Quarter, Federal Triangle, Mount Vernon Square-7th Street-Convention Center, Gallery Place-Chinatown, and Pentagon. Bus routes will also be affected, with many detours planned.
