Thousands of people gathered in downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, for the second to last rally for former president Donald Trump of the 2024 election season on Monday evening.

At least one hundred attendees wearing hard hats were seated behind the podium for the event inside the venue. Several of them told the Washington Examiner that they were coal miners, natural gas workers, and steel workers from the Appalachian region.

Polling numbers in Pennsylvania, the swing state with the most Electoral College votes, have Trump leading the state by less than a point on average,  according to RealClearPolitics.

“I’m excited,” Rafaela Gomez, a resident of Reading in eastern Pennsylvania, told the Washington Examiner. “This is too big to rig.”
