Trump insisted that his campaign has the votes to win New Mexico in next week’s presidential election.
“I’m only here for one reason,” Trump touted at the start of his Thursday morning rally in Albuquerque, New Mexico. “They all said, ‘Don’t come.’ I said, ‘Why?’ ‘You can’t win New Mexico.’ I said, ‘Look, your votes are rigged. We can win New Mexico. We can New Mexico.'”
New Mexico has five electoral votes up for grabs in next week’s election. The state has not gone to a Republican presidential candidate in two decades, since then-President George W. Bush was reelected in 2004.
“You know, we almost won it twice,” Trump said about New Mexico. “And let me tell you, I believe we won it twice.”
Trump claimed that “if we could bring God down from Heaven, He would be the vote counter, we could win this, we’d win California, we’d win a lot of states.”
