Former President Donald Trump advised Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to end the about 10-month-old war in Gaza as they met at Mar-a-Lago on July 26.

“I encouraged Netanyahu in our meeting at Mar-a-Lago to get [the war in Gaza] over with and get it over with fast,” Trump said at a press conference Thursday in Bedminster, New Jersey. “Get your victory and get it fast. But the killing has to stop.”

Netanyahu denied that he spoke with Trump Wednesday, after reports came out they spoke about the ceasefire deal being negotiated this week. In the Thursday press conference, Trump said the last time he spoke with Netanyahu was the Mar-a-Lago meeting.
