Uncommitted delegates have gathered outside the Democratic National Convention to protest the fact that no Palestinian-Americans have been scheduled to speak at the event.

This sit-in comes just hours after the parents of a hostage taken during the Oct. 7 Hamas attack on a music festival in Israel took the stage. Together, they pleaded for a deal to bring their son home, and an end to the violence in Gaza.

The DNC reportedly declined the Uncommitted delegates’ request to have a Palestinian American speaker. The group said they want a speaker scheduled for tonight or tomorrow.
