Playtime is woketime

Darth Vader, the Green Goblin, dragons, and dinosaurs: Children play with toy versions of all kinds of villains and monsters. But some are too dangerous for the nation’s youth, even in the form of small plastic figurines. Thank God our corporations are now taking action to protect them from figures that depict Gina Carano.

Carano played Cara Dune, a character in the Star Wars series The Mandalorian that was so popular it was rumored she would be the main character in a future spinoff. But Disney finally found an excuse to fire Carano for her mockery of rabid transgender activists. Cara Dune, like Carano herself, has been canceled.

While Disney is protecting people from the danger of seeing a conservative actress on screen, it fell to Hasbro to protect our children from playing with a plastic likeness of the character formerly portrayed by said actress.

Hasbro, which owns the rights to Disney’s juggernaut entertainment series such as Star Wars and Marvel, has canceled the production of Cara Dune toys, forcing toy stores to cancel preorders that had been made (Dune was a popular character, to put it mildly).

Hasbro, like Disney, made this decision to protect the youth of the world by removing a strong female character from the franchise. After all, if you allow your children to play with a Cara Dune action figure, they might grow up to question the excesses of the woke revolution. You wouldn’t want counterrevolutionary children now, would you?

If you still want your children to play with a toy depicting a strong female character, fear not, for Disney and Hasbro have one just for you. Pick up your new Mulan doll, based on the live-action remake. Actress Liu Yifei, a supporter of Beijing’s regime and an opponent of Hong Kong’s pro-democracy protesters, will teach your children their corporate-approved message: Never question those in power.
