The husband of a missing Massachusetts woman has been arrested after misleading police investigators.
Ana Walshe, 37, of Cohasset, has been missing since New Year’s Day, per the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office. Brian Walshe, 40, was arrested on Sunday after police developed “probable cause” that he misled police while they were conducting the missing person’s investigation, according to a press release from the office.
Brian Walshe is expected to be arraigned on Monday morning, with the police emphasizing that every defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Cohasset and Massachusetts State Police are continuing to investigate Ana Walshe’s disappearance. She was last seen shortly after midnight on Jan. 1. Police have declined to comment on the custody status of the Walshe’s three children, according to CNN.

The two police departments released a joint statement on Saturday saying that the ground investigation, consisting of 20 state troopers, concluded after searching wooded areas around Walshe’s home with no results.
“State Police divers also searched a small stream and a pool with negative results,” the statement read. “The ground search will not resume unless police develop new information that so warrants it.”
