Who’s your pick for the next Montgomery schools chief?

The Montgomery County Board of Education would like to pick parents’ brains on who should replace Superintendent Jerry Weast when he retires June 30. They’ve  already hired a consulting firm, which will meet with “a diverse cross-section of leaders and stakeholders” later this month, School Board President Chris Barclay said.

But a little thing called community input matters too, so the board is holding additional forums at multiple locations on three nights — see the dates and locations below. Need a sitter? Child care is available, but contact the board office first at 301-270-3617.

Can’t make it at all? Provide input on an online survey that will go up on the website in mid-January and remain live through early February.
