The View host Whoopi Goldberg told co-host Meghan McCain to be quiet after McCain said the other women were not letting her give her perspective on the show.
“Do you want to hear a conservative perspective on this show ever?” McCain told her co-host Monday on the show.
“Girl, please stop talking. Please stop talking right now because you know what?” Goldberg responded. McCain, an outspoken conservative, said she would not talk for the rest of the show, which Goldberg said was fine with her.
The argument came during a discussion about impeaching President Trump and comparing it with Bill Clinton’s impeachment in the 1990s.
McCain, the daughter of the late Sen. John McCain, is the sole conservative voice on The View and regularly clashes with the more liberal members of the show. She is an opponent of Trump and has signaled she would potentially support Joe Biden if he won the Democratic presidential primary.
