Rep. Lauren Boebert continued a Twitter feud with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez after the New York congresswoman was interrupted by a constituent during an open town hall meeting.
Boebert claimed that Ocasio-Cortez sold out her own district and was part of the “machine” after protesters criticized Ocasio-Cortez for aiding Ukraine in the war between the country and Russia despite high inflation.
“On the rare occasions that @AOC actually spends time with her constituents, she is reminded that she has sold them out at every turn,” Boebert tweeted Thursday. “She campaigned as an outsider and has now just morphed into Sandy Pelosi.”

Ocasio-Cortez shot back that Boebert was the real “sell-out” because Boebert was funded by corporations and accused the Colorado lawmaker of being too “scared” to hold her own town halls.
Hey Boebert, you seem to have us confused.
I:
✅ have attended & hosted 100s of community events
✅ hold regular town halls
✅ don’t take a dime in corporate cashYou:

“Hey Boebert, you seem to have us confused,” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted with a screenshot of Boebert’s remark. “I have attended and hosted [hundreds] of community events, hold regular town halls, [and] don’t take a dime in corporate cash. You are bankrolled by corporate PACs [Political Action Committees], Big Ag, and Oil. [You] are too scared to hold regular town halls open to all.”
Boebert responded that she governed as she campaigned and chastised the New Yorker for not sharing the video of the protester.
I notice you took a screenshot of my tweet instead of sharing the original one with the video of you getting completely ripped to shreds by your own constituents.
I have governed as I campaigned. You sold out your supporters.
Just own it. You’re the machine now. https://t.co/EQKRk4n5G2

Earlier this week, Ocasio-Cortez was heckled by an anti-war protester who alleged that the congresswoman was moving the country toward initiating a “nuclear war” in Russia. The confrontation came during a Q&A portion at a town hall event the congresswoman held Wednesday. The New York congresswoman voted to send $40 billion in military and humanitarian aid to Ukraine in early May.
Boebert previously voted against providing aid to Ukraine in its battle against Russia and slammed America’s aid to Ukraine as a “scam.” But Ocasio-Cortez has worked on legislation aimed at helping Ukrainians seek refuge in the United States.

The opposing congresswomen have attacked each other on social media in the past, with Boebert dragging Ocasio-Cortez for her Met Gala “tax the rich” dress. Ocasio-Cortez has targeted Boebert with her own allegations, claiming the congresswoman was part of the “KKK Caucus.”
