Injured man found on I-66 ramp in critical condition

A 20-year-old Springfield man is still in critical condition with life-threatening injuries after he was found injured on an Interstate 66 on-ramp.

Virginia State Police said an injured pedestrian was found shortly after midnight Monday on the Nutley Street northbound ramp to I-66 east in Fairfax County.

The man was assaulted before he was found on the ramp, police said.

A state police spokeswoman said Tuesday that the man, whose name has not been released, is still at Fairfax Inova Hospital.
