BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Bill Holman, president and chief executive officer of General Health System, has retired effective immediately after 12 years with the organization.
The Advocate reports (http://bit.ly/12aq3Z2 ) Dr. Evelyn Hayes was named interim president and CEO by the health system’s board of trustees to serve during the transition period.
General Health System said a national search for Holman’s replacement is under way and will include internal candidates.
In his retirement letter, the 66-year-old Holman said stepping down was a personal decision.
