Fox News reporter slams CNN’s Don Lemon over claims they avoided Hope Hicks story

Fox News White House correspondent John Roberts on Thursday fired back at Don Lemon after the CNN anchor called the network “state-run TV,” and claimed they weren’t covering the resignation of White House communications director Hope Hicks.

“We reported it multiple times,” Roberts wrote on Twitter Thursday in all caps. “I reported it on Neil Cavuto’s show and on The Five. And again on the top of the 6 p.m. show. And we did it at the top of the 7 p.m. show. Clearly someone is not watching Fox, but saying they are.”

Lemon made the original accusations Wednesday while on his prime-time show “CNN Tonight.”

“I was sitting in my office and was watching all the news channels, right-Trump TV or state-run TV, they’re not even reporting this,” Lemon said. “So Trump supporters, they don’t even know about these stories. It doesn’t even register.”

On Thursday, Lemon tweeted, saying he should have been “more specific” while discussing his views on Fox News prime-time reporting.

Roberts retweeted Lemon’s clarification.
