MSNBC host Joy Reid’s podcast, The ReidOut, featured a guest who called Joe Rogan “a really dumb person who thinks he’s smart.”
Fellow podcaster and writer for theGrio Toure Neblett told Reid on Monday that The Joe Rogan Experience includes conversations that “erode the brain.”
“[Joe Rogan] has these pseudoscientific conversations that absolutely erode the brain,” Toure said. “In terms of COVID, here’s what he’s doing: We are in a crowded theater where there is a fire, and he’s saying, ‘No, guys, there is no fire. Everything is fine.’”
Joy Reid is not immune to having her intelligence called into question.
Candace Owens called Reid “the dumbest person on TV for a long time” in a tweet posted in December.
Joy Reid has been the dumbest person on TV for a long time. So dumb, that she currently lives in New York, (where they have their own active state guard) yet she believes Florida creating one would be an example of fascism. https://t.co/65GDcdRMKK

Podcaster Saagar Enjeti also called Reid “the dumbest person on television.”
Fox’s Tucker Carlson has also questioned Reid’s intellect, calling her “the race lady” for her comments that he claims reduce societal concerns to racial problems.
Joe Rogan has faced criticism over controversial interviews concerning COVID-19 on his podcasts.
While speaking with Reid, Toure advocated for the removal of Rogan’s podcast from Spotify.
“It is not appropriate for the country to have somebody on this level of platform who’s telling people, ‘You don’t need to get vaccinated,’” Toure said.
TRUMP’S NIECE IS LATEST TO PULL PODCAST FROM SPOTIFY OVER JOE ROGAN
In an Instagram post, Rogan said he remains interested in hearing from people of differing opinions and is uncomfortable with quickly calling something “misinformation.”
“The problem I have with the term ‘misinformation,’ especially today, is that many of the things that we thought of as misinformation just a short while ago are now accepted as fact,” Rogan said. “Like, for instance, eight months ago, if you said, ‘If you get vaccinated, you can still catch COVID and you can still spread COVID,’ you’d be removed from social media. They would, they would ban you from certain platforms.”
