If Kwame Brown could do it all over again, he would…

Given the hit D.C. Council Chairman Kwame Brown’s image has taken over two Lincoln Navigators leased by the city at his request, we decided to ask Brown what he would do if he could do it all over again.

“If I could go back and do it now? I would make sure that [Department of Public Works Director] Bill Howland returned the the first [Navigator] like I asked him to, and then I would go back to my own truck,” Brown said. He owns, or at least did as of last summer, a 2003 Lincoln Navigator.

Brown rejected a Navigator because it had a gray interior color rather than the black he had ordered. He then had the city lease a second. But the first Navigator wasn’t returned and the city paid both monthly leases totaling about $3,800. City officials now say the Navigators have been returned and the attorney general’s office is negotiating the cost with the leasing company.
