Current Gallery and Artist Cooperative is proud to present EMERGENCE, bringing together a diverse group of artists whose work forces us to reconsider our positions and impressions of the Middle East.
The work presented in this exhibition addresses issues that range from overtly political statements to introspective reflectionsof personal identity, offering unique and engaging expression in the following mediums: video, performance, drawings, photography, sculpture and painting.
Exhibiting artists include Yasmin Etemadi, Roya Farassat, Tulu Bayar, Yasemin Kackar-Demirel, Matthew Egan, Hadi Gharabaghi, Suzanne Kanatsiz, Aphrodite Desiree Navab, Sara Rahbar and Asma Ahmed Shikoh, curated by Hadieh Shafie.
