Trump: Obamacare will die of ‘its own weight’

Donald Trump launched a blistering attack on Obamacare, saying that repealing the healthcare law can help shore up Medicare.

“It’s probably going to die of its own weight, but Obamacare has to go,” the Republican nominee said during the final presidential debate in Las Vegas Wednesday. “Next year, [premiums] are going to go up over 100 percent.”

He referred to recent premium increases of more than 50 percent in some states, including Tennessee and Arizona.

Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton responded that the Affordable Care Act extended the solvency of the Medicare Trust Fund, and so, “if he repeals it, our Medicare problem gets worse.”
