Conservative radio host Dan Bongino said he is considering making a run for the White House in 2024.
“If Harry [sic] Hogan runs for president in 2024, and there is no one by the name of Trump on the ballot, I will consider entering politics again,” Bongino, talking about Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan, said on his podcast Monday.
“This guy’s such a loser that if he ran the country into the ground, I couldn’t live with myself. I’m just throwing that out there,” Bongino continued.
Hogan has in recent days been in a war of words with President Trump on Twitter after the president shared a story about Hogan’s plan to increase COVID-19 testing in Maryland with tests that turned out to be flawed and were never used.
“Report: Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan, Anti-Trump Hero, Paid for Flawed Coronavirus Tests from South Korea,” Trump said on Twitter, quoting a Breitbart News headline. “This RINO will never make the grade. Hogan is just as bad as the flawed tests he paid big money for!”
Hogan responded to Trump’s tweet that he was forced into action because the president failed to do his job.
“If you had done your job, America’s governors wouldn’t have been forced to fend for themselves to find tests in the middle of a pandemic, as we successfully did in Maryland,” Hogan said on Twitter. “Stop golfing and concede.”
Hogan’s tweet caught the attention of Bongino, who accused the governor of “selling out to Dems” to win his race for governor.
“This pathetic loser called me before he ran for Governor, begging me not to get into the race,” Bongino said on Twitter. “He had so little support for his run for Governor that he had Chris from his campaign call my campaign begging for volunteers. He won bcs he had a pulse, & won again selling out to Dems.”
Bongino then shared a picture he took with Hogan at a parade, claiming the then-candidate showed up with no volunteers.
“Here’s a pic from a parade in MD. Hogan showed up with zero volunteers & didn’t want to be embarrassed by walking alone,” he said. “We lent him one of ours. And yes, I lost my race, because I refused to sell out in a blue state like Harry Logan [sic] did. Best thing that EVER happened to me. FACT.”

Bongino, who was a Secret Service agent before entering politics, has made three unsuccessful runs for Congress in the past, in both Maryland and Florida.
He acknowledged that he hates politics and said his wife, Paula Bongino, would likely not be excited about his hinting at a run for president.
