Hilton Hotels Corp. on Wednesday announced it would start a new chain of extended-stay hotels, and would open one of the hotels in the White Marsh area. The “midtier” hotels will target “savvy, valuewise” guests, the company said, and will have an average of 108 rooms each. “During challenging economic times, developers turn to strong brand names they can trust,” Hilton President and Chief Executive Officer Christopher Nassetta, said in a statement.
