Three former Democratic senators, Bill Nelson of Florida, Bob Graham of Florida, and Jim Sasser of Tennessee threw their support behind Joe Biden, 76, Monday, making the combined age of the trio of endorsements 240 years old.
Add California Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein, 86, into the mix, who endorsed the former vice president back in January, and that number comes out to 326 years of age. Monday’s group of senators is among a long list of leader endorsements the Biden camp sent out from hailing from Colorado, Tennessee, Utah, Florida, and Maryland.

Biden’s endorsements come from former members who served with him in the Senate going back to the 1970’s and 1980’s.
Nelson, 76, the youngest among the group of former senators to support Biden’s run on Monday first went to Congress in 1979 and left after his defeat in November 2018 by then Florida Gov. Republican Rick Scott. Nelson, a former astronaut, currently serves on NASA’s advisory council.
Graham, 82, came to the Senate in 1987 after serving as Florida’s governor and remained there until 2005. His daughter Gwen, a Democrat, later served a term in the House from Florida’s 2nd district, based around Tallahassee.
Sasser, 82, served three terms the Senate with Biden from 1977 to 1995 and was later tapped by President Clinton to be U.S. ambassador to China from 1996 to 1999.
