The U.S. Park Police said they responded to a shooting Monday evening at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C., according to a new report.
One person was airlifted from the scene, authorities told NBC Washington.
Video posted to social media showed a helicopter landing near the Reflecting Pool in front of the monument.

No other details were immediately available.
The Washington Examiner reached out to the Park Police for comment.
