Woman says iPhone protected her from bullet in Las Vegas shooting

An iPhone took a bullet for its owner, reportedly saving her life during Sunday night’s mass shooting in Las Vegas.

The unidentified woman who owned the phone told her cab driver that it saved her from being harmed by the bullet, showing him the damaged device, CBS affiliate KLAS-TV reported.

Further information regarding the woman and her phone have yet to surface, but CNN producer Jason Morrell shared a photo of it, crediting someone named Scott Nish.

Fifty-nine were killed and more than 500 injured Sunday after gunman Stephen Paddock opened fire during a country music festival in Las Vegas, Nev.
