Fox News boycotts Twitter for Tucker Carlson mob response

Published November 11, 2018 8:05pm ET

Fox News is reportedly protesting Twitter’s reluctance to crack down on posts related to the demonstration outside anchor Tucker Carlson’s Washington home last week by not using the social media platform.

Fox News’ Twitter account has not tweeted new content to its 18.2 million followers since Nov. 8 after left-wing protesters from Smash Racism D.C. gathered outside Carlson’s house while his wife was inside, ringing the doorbell, cracking the front door, and chanting about how they knew where he slept at night. The cable news network has sent more than 419,000 messages via its Twitter page since joining the social media platform in 2007.
