Armed suspect sought in Md. robbery

Police are looking for the man who robbed a Glen Burnie convenience store at gunpoint.

A masked man brandished a handgun and demanded money from a clerk at the Wawa located at 7699 Quarterfield Road at about 12:05 a.m. Sunday, according to Anne Arundel County police.

Store employees handed over cash and the suspect fled from Wawa on foot, police said.

Police released surveillance photographs of the suspect on Tuesday. The man is described as black and about 5 feet 6 inches tall. He was wearing a blue ski mask, an olive military-style jacket, tan cargo pants and black gloves.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call police at 410-222-3475 or 410-222-3566. People can also call Crime Stoppers at 866-7LOCKUP (562587). Tipsters could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
