Chris Wallace on ‘boring’ Stormy Daniels story: ‘We ought to move on’

Fox News Sunday” anchor Chris Wallace said the story about porn actress Stormy Daniels and her alleged affair with President Trump in 2006 is “boring” and that it’s time to turn the page.

“The point is that in previous administrations and with previous presidents, the allegation of a relationship with a porn star would be sky high news, just enormous news, but with this president, in this administration it doesn’t seem to be,” Wallace said Friday on Fox. “And I also have to say that for somebody who supposedly had a non-disclosure agreement, is there anything about the relationship between Stormy Daniels and Donald Trump that you haven’t already heard? Because I don’t know about you, but I find it all kind of boring.”

Daniels claims she had an extra-marital affair with Trump and legal documents show she was paid $130,000 by Trump’s longtime personal lawyer Michael Cohen ahead of the 2016 election to keep the affair private. She now claims the NDA is void because Trump himself did not sign it.

The lawyer who represents Daniels claimed Friday that she had been physically “threatened” in some capacity as it relates to her allegations against Trump. Wallace acknowledged Friday that the threat of physical violence could have legal consequences, but doubted the story.

“On the other hand, you kind of have to say, we’ve heard so much about the non-disclosure and then the suing of the lawyers and the money and whose name was on the contract and not and at this late date we’re hearing about a threat of physical force,” he said. “We see in these cases often times, lawyers just making allegations against other lawyers. We ought to move on.”
