Trump hits Joe Biden on age: ‘I am a young, vibrant man’

President Trump, 73, described himself as “so young” Friday, saying that compared to former Vice President Joe Biden, 76: “I am a young, vibrant man.”

Asked about “how old is too old” to be president, Trump responded: “I am a young, vibrant man. I look at Joe, I don’t know about him … I would never say anyone is too old. But they are all making me look very young both in terms of age and in terms of energy.”

Biden entered the Democratic primary contest Thursday. If elected, he would be the oldest president ever to hold office — President Ronald Reagan was 77 years, 349 days at the end of his second term in 1989.

Biden, who will be 77 in November, is leading most polls of Democratic contenders. Many polls show Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., in second place. Sanders turns 78 in September.

“I would never say anyone is too old, but I know they are all making me look very young both in terms of age and I think in terms of energy. I think you people know that better than anybody,” Trump said.
