Trump campaign may display statues at rallies: Report

The Trump campaign may be considering displaying statues at President Trump’s future rallies.

Sources told ABC News that while no final decisions have been made, the statues could be of “America’s Founding Fathers.”

In recent weeks, Trump has voiced his condemnation over the destruction and vandalism of many monuments across the United States. Since the death of George Floyd, an unarmed black man who died in police custody in late May, protesters around the nation have sought to tear down statues they believe carry a legacy of racism.

In his speech at Mount Rushmore on Friday, the president announced the creation of the “National Garden of American Heroes,” which he says will display statues of “the greatest Americans to ever live.”

On June 26, the president signed an executive order aimed at protecting monuments, promising to prosecute those who might destroy or vandalize them to the fullest extent of the law.
