Former Clinton spokesman: ‘Hangover’ from naming Scaramucci as White House comms director ‘is a killer’

Former Clinton campaign spokesman Brian Fallon Thursday likened Anthony Scaramucci’s being named as White House communications director to a “killer” hangover.

“Scaramucci seems like he is really impressive in small doses or at a party, but the hangover from naming him to your White House is a killer,” Fallon wrote on Twitter.

Fallon’s statement followed the publication of an explosive New Yorker interview with the incoming communications boss in which Scaramucci unloaded on possible leakers, White House chief of staff Reince Priebus and chief strategist Steve Bannon, in colorful, graphic terms.

Fallon, who has had his fair share of experience dealing with the media as Hillary Clinton’s press secretary during the 2016 presidential election, added that Scaramucci may become less bombastic with time.

“It will be funny when Scaramucci is on the other end of this in 6 months after Trump moves on to a new toy,” Fallon said, linking to a quote by Scaramucci calling Priebus “a fucking paranoid schizophrenic.”

Earlier, Fallon warned on the social media platform that those impressed by Scaramucci’s performance during his first week on the job should “reserve judgment until he has to make rounds to defend indefensible.”
