Bullying is the chief safety concern of Virginia public school students, according to a statewide survey.
Well, it was either going to be that or the zombies.
The Virginia School Safety Survey asked principals and superintendents to anonymously poll students in 737 elementary, middle and high schools across the state.
Among its other findings: 89 percent of schools use automated electronic alerts to notify families in case of school emergencies, the AP reports.
Eighty-seven percent of schools said that all exterior entrances to school buildings, except for the main doors, are locked during school hours.
