On Friday night as the Paris terrorist attacks were underway, Kentucky senator Rand Paul criticized Florida senator Marco Rubio for wanting to spend more money on national defense:

Paul quickly deleted the tweet, but not before a copy of it was captured. During the GOP debate last week, Paul said to Rubio: “How is it conservative to add a trillion dollars in military expenditures? You can not be a conservative if you’re going to keep promoting new programs that you’re not going to pay for.”
“We can’t even have an economy if we’re not safe,” Rubio replied.
In the wake of the Paris attacks, Paul went after Rubio on Saturday over the Florida senator’s vote against a border-security amendment offered by Paul.
