Democratic vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris’s niece publicly vented her frustration at Vice President Mike Pence’s answers during Wednesday’s vice presidential debate.

Meena Harris is the lawyer, consultant, and social activist daughter of Kamala’s younger sister Maya. The 35-year-old introduced her aunt ahead of the California senator’s acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention in August.
Both Meena and Maya Harris, herself a lawyer-turned-politico who was a top aide to Hillary Clinton during her 2016 presidential bid, have been active on the primary and general election campaign trails for the senator.
Meena Harris’s tweet picked up on a recurring theme weaved throughout the vice presidential debate. The candidates swiped at each other over the need to be truthful with the public after last week’s acrimonious debate between President Trump and Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.
“I think this is supposed to be a debate based on fact and truth,” Harris said during Wednesday’s seated, 90-minute debate at Salt Lake City’s University of Utah.
Pence responded later from his side of the plexiglass divider: “You’re entitled to your own opinion, but you’re not entitled to your own facts.”
