Police say suspects are in custody following shooting in Florida

Suspects are in custody following a Saturday evening shooting in Florida, police say.

Several suspects are involved and are being questioned by detectives following an incident at the Aventura Mall, according to the Aventura Police Department. Three victims sustained injuries that are not expected to be life-threatening, and they are being treated at local hospitals, authorities said.

Patrons and employees were escorted off the property, and access to the mall will be prohibited until further notice, police said.

WOMAN AND CHILD SHOT IN TIMES SQUARE: REPORT

The incident follows several recent high-profile shootings throughout the United States. Also on Saturday, two victims, a woman and a child, were reportedly shot in New York City’s Times Square. Andrew Brown, Jr. was fatally shot by a sheriff’s deputy in North Carolina last month after the deputy attempted to serve a warrant, and the death of Ma’Khia Bryant, a teenager who apparently had a knife before getting shot by a Columbus, Ohio, police officer, has led to an investigation by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation.

This is a developing story and will be updated.
