Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., said he’s meeting with President Trump on Monday to ask him to revoke former CIA Director John Brennan’s security clearance.
Brennan, who served under former President Barack Obama, has been highly critical of the current president, referring to Trump’s comments during a joint press with Russian President Vladimir Putin as “treasonous.”
Paul questioned Monday whether Brennan is “making millions of dollars divulging secrets to the mainstream media with his attacks” on Trump.
Is John Brennan monetizing his security clearance? Is John Brennan making millions of dollars divulging secrets to the mainstream media with his attacks on @realDonaldTrump ?

Trump’s public schedule does not list a meeting with the Republican senator, though not all the president’s meetings are made public.
Paul stood by Trump’s side last week, defending the president as he sought to walk back his comments dismissing Russian election interference amid backlash from both sides of the aisle.
“I think John Brennan is completely unhinged,” Paul said Tuesday. On Wednesday, Paul called the former CIA chief “the most biased, bigoted, over-the-top hyperbolic sort of unhinged director of the CIA we’ve ever had.”
