Since President-elect Trump announced Thursday night that he intends to nominate retired Marine Gen. James Mattis to be his defense secretary, it’s hard to miss the excitement among the rank and file and anyone who knows anything about “the Warrior Monk.” And while Trump calls him “Mad Dog,” Mattis’ call sign was actually “Chaos.”
So here are the nine best memes that don’t have an F-bomb, with one exception. Most of them have F-bombs, so this was tricky. These are Marines, after all.
Saint Mattis of Quantico, patron saint of chaos, is a meme that showed up on the official Facebook page of Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command Thursday night. It managed to stay up for a few hours, which is longer than we thought it would.
