Since President-elect Trump announced Thursday night that he intends to nominate retired Marine Gen. James Mattis to be his defense secretary, it’s hard to miss the excitement among the rank and file and anyone who knows anything about “the Warrior Monk.” And while Trump calls him “Mad Dog,” Mattis’ call sign was actually “Chaos.”
