Former ESPN host Jemele Hill responded to a controversial statement by former Vice President Joe Biden about black voters, calling it “accurate.”
Biden stirred controversy on Friday when he said during an interview with Charlamagne tha God that black voters “ain’t black” if they have trouble deciding whether to support him or President Trump.
Biden walked back his remark, saying it was “too cavalier.” But Jemele Hill voiced support for what Biden said, even though she believes it should not have come from him.
“The issue wasn’t what Joe Biden said, because it was accurate. The issue was that it came from Biden. It also was clearly a joke that didn’t land. But I’m wondering where all this outrage was yesterday when y’all president declared his public devotion to a Nazi sympathizer,” Hill tweeted, appearing to be a reference to how Trump complimented the bloodline of Ford Motor Co. founder Henry Ford last week.

Hill doubled down when criticized and echoed Biden’s position, saying that “you ain’t with us” if one is black and doesn’t support his presidency.
I don’t have a problem with the statement because he was clearly referring to this from a policy and track record standpoint. If you’re black and you support anti-black policies and positions, then that makes you …? You’re still technically black but you ain’t with us

Hill has been a longtime critic of Trump, calling him a “white supremacist” in 2017. She later said she had no regrets for the comment, saying, “I thought I was saying water is wet.”
Hill parted ways with ESPN roughly a year after making the comment, and she later said she was a headache for the network.
