Trump Jr.: ‘I love Kavanaugh’s tone’

Donald Trump Jr. said others in the GOP should take notice of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh’s tone as Kavanaugh fired back against allegations of sexual misconduct in his Thursday testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee.

“I love Kavanaugh’s tone,” the president’s eldest son said on Twitter. “It’s nice to see a conservative man fight for his honor and his family against a 35 year old claim with ZERO evidence and lots of holes that amounts to nothing more than a political hit job by the Dems. Others in the GOP should take notice!”

Kavanaugh claimed that “this confirmation process has become a national disgrace” as he defended himself before the committee against allegations from Christine Blasey Ford, who claims Kavanaugh forced himself onto her at a party in the 1980s.

“This grotesque and coordinated character assassination will dissuade competent and good people of all political persuasions from serving our country,” Kavanaugh said in his opening statement.

He also was emotional at times, such as when he said his 10-year-old daughter recently suggested praying for Ford.

Kavanaugh faces allegations of sexual misconduct from several women, including Deborah Ramirez, who claims Kavanaugh exposed himself to her at a party in the 1980s at Yale University, and Julie Swetnick, who claims Kavanaugh and his friend Mark Judge tried to drug girls so they could “then be ‘gang raped’” by multiple boys. Swetnick also alleged that she was gang raped at a house party where Kavanaugh was present.

Kavanaugh has adamantly denied all allegations of misconduct.
