Trump is ‘very supportive’ of Senate Republican healthcare bill

President Trump tweeted Thursday night he is “very supportive” of Senate Republicans’ healthcare bill.

“I am very supportive of the Senate #HealthcareBill,” Trump said. “Look forward to making it really special! Remember, ObamaCare is dead.”

Senate Republicans earlier in the day released a bill to repeal and replace parts of Obamacare.

The bill makes significant changes to the structure of Medicaid, rolls back the individual and employer mandate, aims to stabilize the Obamacare exchanges for a few years and gives states a broad range of flexibility to make changes to healthcare plans.

Senate leaders are planning a vote on the bill next week, but already at least four Republicans have said they are not ready to support the legislation.
