Photographs of California Democratic congresswoman Katie Hill naked and holding a bong have emerged.
The photographs, which were obtained by the Daily Mail, were taken Sept. 11, 2017.
The Daily Mail identified the campaign staffer as Morgan Desjardins, 24, who was 22 at the time of the relationship. Desjardins was part of a three-way relationship with Hill and her husband, Kenny Heslep, and was included in the first photos that were published by RedState when the story initially broke.
It was reported that Hill, 32, who is openly bisexual, and Heslep posted a picture of the nude congresswoman in an online “wife-sharing” thread in 2016, as well as a thread titled “WouldYouF—MyWife?”
The report also claimed that this was not the first three-way relationship Hill participated in. Michael Pace, a Los Angeles-based technology analyst who rented a room in Hill’s home, said the couple also had a sexual relationship with a third person in 2010.
“I walked in on the three of them in some very weird situations a few times, so I know there was a sexual relationship going on,” he said. In text messages, Desjardins claimed to be heartbroken when the three split.
Hill has admitted and apologized for the relationship with her campaign staffer and claimed she had alerted Capitol Police to investigate who had leaked the nude photographs. The congresswoman denied she had an affair with her legislative director, Graham Kelly.
The alleged affair with Kelly prompted an investigation by the House Ethics Committee. Hill has agreed to participate fully in the investigation.
Republican Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz defended Hill, claiming she was only being investigated because she’s “different,” not because she harmed anyone.
