An Arizona congressman running for re-election had a message Saturday for the six siblings who filmed a series viral attack ads for his opponent.
“I hope they find peace in their hearts and let go all the hate,” tweeted Rep. Paul Gosar, a Republican. “To the six angry Democrat Gosars—see you at Mom and Dad’s house!”

Gosar said his siblings, who attacked his integrity and endorsed his Democratic opponent David Brill in the series of ads, do not live in Arizona and that Brill’s policies are “out of sync with what Arizona wants and the country needs.”
“I will not be deterred from fighting for our conservative values regardless of these attacks,” said Gosar, who first won election in 2010.

Grace, Tim, Jennifer, Gaston, Joan, and David Gosar condemn their brother’s positions on the environment, healthcare, Social Security, and immigration in the ads, saying the congressman “is not working for you,” the title of one of the ads.
Brill’s campaign posted several of the ads online Friday, in which the six siblings say it pains them to speak out against their brother but they want to defend their family’s honor.
However, their mother, Bernadette Gosar, told the New York Times that her views align with Paul’s.
“I share the same philosophy and policies that Paul does,” she said, per the Times. “He’s done a hell of a job for Arizona, and they love him.”
Gosar described his siblings on Twitter Saturday as “disgruntled Hilary supporters” who, “like leftists everywhere, they put political ideology before family. Stalin would be proud.”
