Lawmaker: Dems are ‘living in a cesspool’

Rep. Chris Collins, R-N.Y., said Tuesday that the last few days show that Democrats are “living in a cesspool.”

“The Democrats are living in a cesspool, and it’s coming out, so they’re deflecting,” he said on CNN. “It’s plain and simple. When you’re guilty, you deflect.”

Collins was referring to the FBI’s move to reopen its investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private email.

But he was also referring to other leaked emails that show Donna Brazile gave at least two questions to Clinton’s campaign. CNN quietly fired Brazile on Oct. 14 after the first email was released showing her involvement.

“Your own network, CNN, had to fire Donna Brazile on Oct. 14 for getting the town hall questions ahead of time, leaking them to the Clinton campaign,” he said. “To me the irony here is, they cheat, they have the fix in, dirty tricks and so forth.”

Collins also said the leaked emails showed the Democratic National Committee favored Clinton over Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt.
