Joe Biden said during the Democratic debate Thursday that gun manufactures were the real enemies in the fight against mass shootings, not the National Rifle Association.
“I am the only person that has beaten the NRA nationally,” the former vice president said, before maintaining that the NRA was not the real enemy.
“Our enemy is the gun manufacturers not the NRA,” Biden said after saying the solution to gun violence included “smart guns.”
Biden is the front-runner in the Democratic presidential race polling at 32%, according to RealClearPolitics.
